About Me
I am Moira Mugambi, a seventeen-year-old Kenyan writer and secondary school student with a lifelong passion for literature, music, and storytelling. Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated by the power of stories—their ability to capture emotions, preserve culture, challenge perspectives, and bring people together. Writing has become my way of expressing ideas, exploring the world around me, and giving life to the voices and experiences that deserve to be heard.
As an aspiring author, I draw inspiration from the richness of African storytelling and from literary icons such as Chinua Achebe and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Their works have taught me the importance of embracing our identities and telling African stories with honesty, depth, and confidence. They have inspired me to write stories that celebrate our heritage while addressing the realities, dreams, and challenges of everyday life.
Beyond writing, I enjoy reading novels, listening to music, and discovering stories in the people and places around me. I believe inspiration can be found in the simplest moments, and I strive to reflect that authenticity in everything I write.
This play is my first published work, marking an important milestone in my journey as a writer. It represents not only the fulfillment of a dream but also the beginning of a lifelong commitment to storytelling. My hope is that every reader who encounters my work finds something meaningful within its pages—whether it is a moment of reflection, a sense of connection, or simply the joy of experiencing a well-told story.
